Hi Angels,
I hope that everyone has had a wonderful week. I'm sure that many of you had a hectic journey getting your family back on a school schedule!
I wanted to share a fast and easy project with you this week. This bookbag tag might be something that you want to create with your own munchkins...they'll love making something with you, AND you can have an "ulterior" motive because a visual reminder of your papercrafting skills is always good for business! Imagine striking up a conversation with a parent at your child's school where you get to share about TAC and what you do because that parent noticed the cute tag hanging on your child's backpack. :-)
This might even be a project that you could take to sunday school or scouting groups and open up a new business avenue for yourself!
I hope you have a lot of fun whipping up these bookbag tags and know that you will add your own special creative touches to make a darling project!
PROJECT DETAILS:
Supplies:
A-81069 Creative Clipboards (The sample uses the largest clipboard but the small also works.)
A-10 ABC Frameworks
T-2773 Curls & Swirls
Paper Scraps ( 2 pieces measuring approximately 2 x 3 1/4")
Coordinating Ribbon Scrap (Sample uses Toodle Loo ribbon)
Coordinating Ink (Sample uses Purple Hydrangea Versamagic)
Stickles (Sample uses Crystal)
Corner Rounder
Sanding Block
Bead Chain
Round corners of paper scraps.
Adhere paper to the front and back of clipboard, trimming a small section from the front to allow for the clipboard clasp.
Distress and ink the edges of the clipboard as desired.
Stamp a swirl image on the front of the clipboard.
Punch out a letter from ABC elements and ink edges as desired.
Tie a ribbon around the letter for added visual interest if you wish.
Add the letter to the front of the clipboard, layered over the stamped swirl image.
If you want to add some "glitz" coat the letter with Stickles.
Once the Stickles are dry, use a small piece of bead chain to attach the mini clipboard bookbag tag to a bag.
OPTIONAL: If you want to make the bookbag tag more durable, you can coat it with a layer of Mod Podge or Crystal Lacquer.
